MADRAS MARCHING BAND
Any JCSD student in grades 7-12 may join the Madras Marching Band and Color Guard. The marching band performs at home football games, competitions in the Fall, and local parades.
For the 2019 season, MMB will be producing "La rosa de España" (the Rose of Spain). Click here for more information about marching band and color guard.
Pep Band coincides with basketball season, and performs at all home varsity basketball games. Pep Band is open to anyone who plays an instrument, including alumni and community members. MHS students may use Pep Band as a way to earn points toward a Band varsity letter.
Students are encouraged to audition for extra-curricular opportunities such as Western International Band Clinic (WIBC), District Honor Band, Solo and Ensemble Contest, Oregon All-State, NAfME All-Northwest, and Music in May.
The MHS Drama Program is also connected to the Music Department. Band students may choose to be part of the pit orchestra for the Spring musical, and sometimes the Fall play.
